Well, after long thought (OK, 17 seconds) I've decided the Hinkelgruber family menu should be brought to the web. A couple of things for you to remember: no substitutions (Charlie's not a short-order cook, after all), and change is inevitable - Charlie may not feel like cooking kim chee on a Tuesday! Oh, and there is one request: if you're joining us for dinner, please either call or text the Scary Lady (you know the number - if you don't, you're really not invited).

Fall in Portland really can be the best!

I've said it many times:  there's no better fall anywhere than Portland, OR!  When it's not raining, it's really the best weather anywhere.

And, in keeping with our own tradition of either wine or apples, today was wine!  Mr. Hinkelgruber and I drove to Carlton and the northern Willamette Valley's wine country and bought our wine for the fall.  (To quote Mr. Hinkelgruber, "Well, this should last until about Christmas...")

Perhaps next week will be apples....
